I will overwhelm 'credible combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to promote next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami venue on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of such comments, a composed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually recognized for his dramatics - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead criticized ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized British opponent Tyson Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Paul's History

Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

However, the novice remains one of the sport's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving substantial earnings.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Fury-Joshua bout, which is allegedly being planned for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Size Disparity

As Joshua and Paul met for the usual face-off, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really happening.
